Drevitch to coach Bandits Empire Jr B Team

The Bridgewater Bandits are pleased to announce that Scott Drevitch has been named the Head Coach of the Bridgewater Bandits Jr. B team for the 2010-2011 season. Drevitch will succeed two year head coach Rich Alger.

Drevitch, a Massachusetts native, brings over 25 years of hockey experience to the Bandits Junior program. He played 19 years of professional hockey. During his career, he spent time in the American Hockey League, East Coast Hockey League, International Hockey League, United Hockey League, West Coast Hockey League, and in several top leagues in Europe.  A defenseman by trade, Scott was a smooth skater with top notch skills. During his time in the professional ranks, Scott was a player/assistant coach on many of the teams he played on. Prior to his pro career, he attended UMAINE for his freshman year, UMASS Lowell for three years, and lettered for all four years.

Drevitch currently owns the Play-Like-A-Pro Hockey School, which has been in business for over 15 years. His school consists of camps and leagues for beginners, youth, high school, college, and pro players.

Scott will continue to serve as the head coach of the Bridgewater Bandits 2002 team, as well as to oversee the Mighty Bandits program.

Scott resides in Middleboro, MA with his wife Megan, sons Tyler and Logan, and daughter Lexi.
